PAYMENT: Full payment for any portrait session is due at the time of booking. A $500 deposit is required for weddings, and full payment is due one month prior to the wedding date. Once a date and time have been set, you will receive an e-mail invoice. Payments are made through PayPal using a credit/debit card (or PayPal funds). You may also contact me to pay by check or cash. Payment must be received within 3 business days to secure your spot. If payment has not been received, that date will be made available to others.

SESSION LOCATION: This is to be decided when you book your session. I have several spots that I know well and prefer to shoot at, but we can always use one of your favorite spots instead. I am primarily a natural light photographer and that requires session locations to have lots of natural, diffused lighting available. This can be open shade in a park/urban area or large, unobstructed windows inside your home.

TRAVEL FEES: I am located in Geneseo, Illinois. If you choose a location outside of Geneseo (zip code 61254), there will be a travel fee in addition to your session fee which covers my travel time. This fee is $25 for any location up to 30 miles away, and $50 for any location 31-60 miles away.

SESSION TIME: If the session is at an outdoor location, I prefer to begin shooting a couple hours before sunset for optimal lighting. If the session will be indoors, mid-day is best for the brightest lighting coming in through your windows/doors. Please consider your family’s needs when deciding which session to schedule and when; I strive for each session to be a relaxed, fun experience for you and your family, allowing children time for snacks and outfit changes.

PROOFS/PRINTS: I will likely post individual preview photos on my Facebook business page within days of your session. Your private online gallery will be ready within THREE weeks of your session date (or within 1 month for wedding photos). You and anyone with whom the link is provided can view and/or order prints. Portraits ordered online through your gallery are sold at cost (no markup) and shipped directly to your home; shipping costs and time may vary based on the amount and type of products ordered. If you choose to order using your digital files on your own, I highly recommend using mpix.com due to their professional print quality. Ordering from local chain stores may result in prints that have altered color and poor quality.

EDITING NOTES: All portraits are individually edited and will be presented in either color or black and white at my discretion, but images will not be presented in both. If you have a preference for primarily one or the other, please indicate that prior to your session. Basic skin touch ups will be done during the processing time at no additional cost.
